Hiroshima Toyo beat Tokyo Yakult at Rebels Ballpark, eking out a 8-7 win. The win was due in large part to left fielder Cheng-hao Li, who earned player of the game honors. Matt O'Donnell, who went 8.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 6 runs on 10 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 1-1. Losses have been few and far between for the Swallows so far this season. Their record drops to 8-4.

Li had a key at-bat in the top of the third to put Hiroshima Toyo in front, 2-1. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Li said.
