Perez, Marlins Dispatch Victory Lakes, 2-1
|
The Media Luna Marlins earned a close win over the Victory Lakes Crawfish, thanks in part to Miguel Perez. The Media Luna right-hander played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Earning his 14th save of the year was Jared Kilburn. Despite the win, the Marlins still have a pitiful 36-113 record.
Perez kept the Crawfish under his thumb. He scattered 4 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 5-18.
"Runs were at a premium," said Media Luna manager Victor Garro.
