Yokohama shortstop Lan-fang Lum made his presence felt in the 12-8 Bay Stars triumph over the Chunichi Dragons. Lum went 2-3 with a home run, a triple, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. Losses have been few and far between for the Dragons so far this season. Their record drops to 7-3.

Sumiyoshi Hamamoto played a key role in the win for the Bay Stars. The catcher punched a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning. For the game, Hamamoto was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
