Toronto turned a good performance from starting pitcher Mark Thomsen into a 7-2 triumph over the Mojave Rattlers at Exhibition Stadium. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Toronto.

The Blue Jays got a big boost from center fielder Kazuteru Nishimoto who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first inning off Rattlers hurler Joaquin Ramos. It was his 100th walk of the season and put Toronto on top, 2-1.

"Mark was strictly business," said Toronto field general Bryan Fulcher.
