Springfield Bats Run into Vogel Buzzsaw in 2-1 Loss
The Mojave Rattlers locked up a win at Rattlers Field, knocking off the Springfield Sentries, 2-1. On the mound for Mojave was right-hander Jason Vogel. He played a major role in the triumph. Nobuaki Matsushima earned his 6th save in 6 chances. The last-place Sentries dropped to 58-84.

Vogel subdued the Springfield offense. The Mojave right-hander allowed a mere 3 hits over 8.1 innings, while fanning 12. His season record goes to 5-1 with the win.

"I made a lot of good pitches," said Vogel. "I was right where I wanted to be."
