Monroy goes 3-for-5 as Titans Squeeze Past Saint John

Both teams had their chances, but the Tulsa Titans eventually prevailed.
The Tulsa Titans downed the Saint John Alpines, 7-6. The hitting star was left fielder Jose Monroy. Monroy went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Titans. Tulsa reliever Alex Bonilla picked up the win, raising his record to 2-2. Manny Vega was tagged with the loss.
It could have been a different outcome for Tulsa, had it not been for Abraham Quintero, the 20-year old second baseman . Quintero contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Tulsa up, 7-6.
Quintero said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."
Tulsa has now won 3 in a row.
