Hunt Brilliant as Blue Jays Top Cucamonga, 6-2
|
Toronto turned a good effort from starter George Hunt into a win over the Rancho Cucamonga at Steelers Park. The Blue Jays won the game, 6-2. Mark Thomsen finished the game for Toronto and earned his 2nd save. By defeating Rancho, the first-place Blue Jays improved to 124-15.
Hunt delivered a quality start for Toronto. The 6-foot-0 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 4 hits over 8 innings of work.
"When George is on, he can really move the ball around," said Toronto manager Bryan Fulcher.
