The Estación Juanita Red Wings downed the Saint John Alpines, 6-5, at Red Wings Grove. Tyler Crabtree led the way, going 2-for-3 for Estación Juanita. The last-place Red Wings are now 52-86, the Alpines 84-55.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Orlando Aguayo came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Saint John pitcher Momosuke Egawa, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Estación Juanita on top, 6-5.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Aguayo told the Estación Juanita Gazette.
