Conditions were not ideal but Springfield and Bloomington were able to put their game in the books.

Luis Morales, who is tied for 3rd in the TLA in holds with 4, was brilliant in helping Springfield beat the Bloomington Hoosiers, 6-0. Springfield is now 57-81, while Bloomington is 46-93.

The Sentries got a big at-bat from designated hitter Orlando Torres. For the game, Torres went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Springfield a 2-0 lead.
