The San Carlos Pipers extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Bloomington Hoosiers.

Luis Ramirez pitched a gem to lead Bloomington to victory over the San Carlos Pipers, 6-1. Picking up the save was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Victor Cardenas.

Tony Padilla, who is tied for 10th in the TLA in doubles with 28, helped out the Bloomington cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the right fielder went 3 for 4 with 3 singles and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs.
