Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old third baseman Daniel Witcher, the River Falls Falcons defeated the Media Luna Marlins, 8-1. River Falls starter Tim Dalbec was credited with the win after throwing 141 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 11-5. The 4th-place Falcons have won 8 straight.

With River Falls leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Witcher hit a fastball from Elias Lopez for a grand slam home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Falcons ahead, 7-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Falcons manager Jian-guo Yang.
