AIKEN THOROUGHBREDS AT TORONTO BLUE JAYS
GAME ID: 9454 - SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH , 2066 - GAME LOG
  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E
Aiken Thoroughbreds (95-39) 0 0 2 0 0 2 1 0 0 5 8 1
Toronto Blue Jays (92-42) 4 2 0 1 0 0 0 0 X 7 9 0
Blue Jays Reel Off Another Win, 7-5
Ken Currie made an impact in the 7-5 Toronto win over Aiken. Currie, who is tied for 7th in the TLA with a 1.112 OPS, was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Picking up the save was 19-year old left-handed pitcher Rob Andrus. With the win, Toronto goes to 92-42, while the Thoroughbreds fall to 95-39.

There was more than one reason the Blue Jays beat the Thoroughbreds, but Currie's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Toronto manager Torikatzu Nishiyama.
