The Topeka West Chargers welcomed the Tenafly Tigers to an night game at Ballpark of León HS.

Chargers left fielder Justin Higgins put his stamp on his team's 19-8 win over the Tenafly Tigers. Higgins went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 6 for Topeka West in the contest. The winner was Topeka West reliever John Mahaffy, now 1-2. The loser was Jeff Gamble.

In the top of the sixth, Chris Davidson delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Topeka West third baseman hit a run-scoring single, putting the Chargers in front, 19-8.

In postgame comments to the Topeka West Daily News, Davidson said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

The win for the Chargers lifted their record to 16-8.
