The Montreal Cardinals had to overcome a big game from Downsview center fielder Mike Mulholland to leave Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds with a 10-9 victory. Mulholland went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. At 12-11, the Cardinals find themselves in 5th place in the Pete Rose Little League Roger Clemens Division.

There were several reasons the Cardinals beat the Mustangs, but one factor was Alex Caldera. In the bottom of the eighth, the Montreal first baseman came to bat and hit a 2-run double. It staked his team to a 10-9 lead.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Caldera told the Montreal Today.
