Panthers Come Back Late to Clip Mustangs
In a high-scoring game between Pitman High and San Marin, second baseman Manny Lincoln was a difference-maker. The 15-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 10-9 Pitman High win. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Pitman High is now 10-13, while San Marin is 8-15.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Pitman High center fielder Danny Shoemaker, facing Steve Berard, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Panthers the 10-9 win.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Shoemaker told the Pitman High News.
