Red Wings Fall to Vampyres Late
The Santa Clara Vampyres outlasted the Estación Juanita Red Wings, 6-3, in 11 innings. Lazaro Perales provided some punch at the plate for Santa Clara. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Bobby Serrano picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-5. Carlos Rodriguez was tagged with the loss. Danny Reyes was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 4 save opportunities.

Perales had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a first pitch fastball from Carlos Rodriguez, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Vampyres a 5-3 lead. It was the 26th home run of the year for Perales.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Estación Juanita manager Brian Spencer.

The Vampyres go to 70-55, putting them 4th in the RCL LA West Division.
