Tigers Lose, 9-7, at Batfish Ballpark
|
The Pitman High Panthers beat the Tenafly Tigers, 9-7, at Batfish Ballpark. Jorge Saragoza, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Getting the save was Josh Rowe, his 2nd. The Panthers, at 9-11, inhabit 4th place in the Hank Aaron Little League Bob Gibson Division.
Jim Reigner, who is tied for 3rd in the HALL with a .600 on-base percentage, helped out the Pitman High cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the second baseman drew 2 walks in 6 plate appearances.
"To get where we want to as a team, we all have to do things out of our comfort zone," Saragoza told the Pitman High News.
