Barragan, Falcons Bear Down, Beat Blue Jays, 1-0
|
Falcons Field hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.
The River Falls Falcons nipped the Toronto Blue Jays, 1-0, at Falcons Field. River Falls pitcher Edwin Barragan, in particular, starred. Justin Sessoms earned the save, his 14th.
Barragan delivered a quality start for River Falls. The 5-foot-11 right-hander allowed no earned runs on 2 hits over 8 innings of work.
After the game, Barragan told the River Falls Bulletin, "Like I've always said, the challenge is what makes this game worth playing."
River Falls, now 57-65, holds down 4th place in the TML LA East Division.
