Boyette hits 2 home runs as Mustangs Squeeze Past San Marin
Downsview beat San Marin at Visigoths Stadium, eking out a 10-9 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Kyle Boyette, who earned player of the game honors. Downsview reliever Kyle Krauss picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Steve Vance took the loss. The Mustangs, at 10-7, lead by one game in their division.

Boyette had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch curveball from Steve Vance, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Mustangs a 6-5 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Boyette.

"Ugly win or not, we'll take it," said Boyette.
