The Tioga Central Tigers welcomed the Montreal Cardinals to an night game at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds.

The Tioga Central Tigers knocked off the Montreal Cardinals by the score of 10-8. Mike Vanstone provided some pop, going 2-for-4 with 2 home runs. The winner was Tioga Central reliever Walter Velez, now 2-0. The loser was Terry Spotton. Bobby Richey was called on to finish, recording his 4th save.

Tioga Central used the hitting of Chris Kittrell to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Tigers on top, 3-0. For the game, Kittrell had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Tioga Central manager Hector Valencia was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
