The Downsview Mustangs stopped the Lerna Lions, 11-6, behind an impressive performance from Dan Geddes. The 16-year old right fielder made life miserable for Lerna pitching. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Downsview, now 8-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Downsview used the hitting of Ralph Carrey to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mustangs on top, 6-0. For the game, Carrey had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

In comments to the Downsview Observer, Geddes insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
