Warhawks Snatch Late-Game, 5-4 Win
|
Seminole beat Pleasantville at Attack Ballpark, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Abel DeWit. He was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Josh Holley picked up the save for Seminole, his 2nd of the year. The loss drops the Pleasantville record to a disappointing 4-6.
Had DeWit not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, DeWit hit a run-scoring single. The Warhawks took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," DeWit said.
