All Blacks Come Back Late to Top Warhawks
|
The Baie-Comeau All Blacks took Seminole pitcher Mat Weiss's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Attack Ballpark. The final score had Baie-Comeau getting past the Warhawks, 6-5. Weiss went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs, striking out 5. Brian Sparks picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Erik Lisiecki was tagged with the loss. The win takes Baie-Comeau to 5-4.
In the top of the eighth inning with one out, Baie-Comeau shortstop Fred Fleming hit a sacrifice fly. It made the score 6-5, All Blacks. For the day, Fleming went 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We found a way to get it done," Fleming said.
