The Victoria Cougars beat the Brighton Steelhounds, 6-4. Victoria pitcher and Morelia, Mexico, native Juan Trujillo led the way. Victoria's record now stands at 68-46, placing them third in the RCL LA West Division.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Miguel Castaneda? The 23-year old catcher Castaneda stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put Victoria up, 6-4. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"All in all, I thought Juan pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Victoria manager Tony Varela.
