Another day, another victory for the red-hot River Falls Falcons.
The River Falls Falcons got a strong performance from pitcher Jon Betances. 2061 ADD P stymied the Media Luna offense en route to a solid, 5-1 win at Falcons Field. The Falcons have now won 8 straight.
Andrew Grogan dealt the Marlins a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and River Falls leading 2-1, Grogan, who is tied for 3rd in the TLA in doubles with 29, hit a 1-1 cutter for a run-scoring single.
"I'm happy we won," said Betances. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
