The Ft. Worth Werewolves and Aiken Thoroughbreds played an exciting game.

The Ft. Worth Werewolves knocked off the Aiken Thoroughbreds, 4-3, in TML LA action at Aiken Stadium. Ft. Worth pitcher and Coon Rapids, Minnesota, native Ron Phillips had an outstanding performance. Phillips got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 4 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

Ft. Worth used the hitting of Philippe Parent to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Werewolves on top, 3-0. For the game, Parent had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Phillips.

After today's action, Ft. Worth sits at 44-64; Aiken slips to 80-30.
