Lancers Get Win, Extend Streak to 4
|
Canby left-hander Jordan Todd made an effective start against the Montreal Cardinals at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS, leading his team to a 6-3 win. The Lancers, now 4-0, have been on a roll in the early going.
Mike Gunther wielded some clout for Canby. The left fielder had a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first for the Lancers. It put his team ahead, 3-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Gunther went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Gunther said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
