Salvador Tobon did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Media Luna Marlins from being beaten, 8-6, to the River Falls Falcons at Falcons Field. Tobon hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Kevin Robb. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. Tony Munoz earned his 25th save in 28 chances.
Javy Puga hit a bases-clearing triple off Danny Aguilar in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Falcons in front, 7-6. In addition to the triple, Puga had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 2.
"Right now, things are falling our way," said River Falls manager Jian-guo Yang.
With the victory, the Falcons upped their record to 64-45.
