Indians Drop Warhorses, 7-6
|
Jefferson third baseman Gil Greene was instrumental in helping the Indians triumph, 7-6, over the Barnwell Warhorses. Greene was 3 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Tim Danka picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Kurt Beckman was tagged with the loss. The Indians, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Ryan Speller helped out the Jefferson cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the center fielder drew 2 walks.
"We scored enough runs to win," said Greene.
