The Oak Park Architects got a superb performance from third baseman Trevor Russo, but the Saint John Alpines still won the game, 10-9. Russo went 2 for 2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The 69-38 Alpines lead the RCL LA West Division by one game.

Jose Castillo went 1-1 with a walk for Saint John. The 24-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 9-9 tie with a run-scoring walk off Eddy Ortiz. It was his 13th walk of the season.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Castillo, "but we got it done."
