In a tight contest at Cougars Park, the Victoria Cougars edged the Arlington Stars by the score of 6-5. Victoria center fielder Ignacio Santos, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The victory gives Victoria a record of 65-43.

Had Juan Guerrero not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Guerrero hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Cougars.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Guerrero told the Victoria Daily News. "But we take nothing for granted."
