Ed Buell knocked in 3 runs to help Niagara beat Trois-Rivieres, 12-5. The center fielder collected 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. Niagara reliever Maddox Freemann picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Roy Weareorwear was tagged with the loss.

Niagara right fielder Scott Donahue contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a curveball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 30th hit of the season and put the Stars ahead, 4-0.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Niagara manager Danny Stuessy.

Niagara goes to 40-16. The win puts them 5 games up in their division.
