Adler Hits 2 home runs in Royales Win
The Montreal Royales topped the Trois-Rivieres Saints by the score of 14-5, with the largest share of the credit going to designated hitter Bob Adler. Adler was 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 6 for the Royales. Montreal reliever Charlie Lawton picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Justin Carriere was saddled with the loss. Montreal is now 32-21, 5½ games up in the Lester B. Person League East Division.

The Royales got a lift from third baseman Don Riley, who in the top of the ninth hit a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season put the Royales on top, 6-5.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Adler told the Montreal Daily News.
