Saskatoon beat Niagara on the strength of starter Sonny Moriarty's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Don Spotton locked down his 18th save. Saskatoon goes to 34-19. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.

Moriarty scattered 3 hits over 6.1 innings for the Legends. With the win, Moriarty moves to 9-2 on the year with 121 strikeouts.

"Sonny's tempo and rhythm were good," said Legends manager Roger George. "He was the key to us winning."
