The Victoria Capitals got a good effort from starter Stone Haley in defeating the Saskatoon Legends at Ballpark of Red Deer College. The final score was 4-2. Victoria used the clutch hitting of Frank Cartier to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Capitals ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Cartier told the Victoria News.
