The home crowd had a good time watching the London Monarchs and Montreal Royales get after it.

Montreal first baseman John Ausenhus had a 5-RBI performance, which helped his team down the London Monarchs, 10-7. Montreal has a record of 33-19, placing them second in the Lester B. Person League East Division.

With Montreal leading 5-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Ausenhus came up to bat against London pitcher Martin Horwood. Ausenhus hit a curveball to left-center for a grand slam home run. His 20th home run of the season put the Royales on top, 9-2.

Ausenhus told the Montreal Citizen: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."
