Niagara first baseman Alex Melsom was sensational. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Montreal beat the Stars, 4-3. Melsom was named the player of the game despite the loss. Montreal leads the Lester B. Person League East Division by 4 games.
Montreal took a 4-3 lead on Sean Lucas's 45th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Lucas hit in the bottom of the 11th, left Niagara pitcher John Morris visibly frustrated.
