Stars Bludgeon Capitals, 16-1
|
The Niagara Stars beat the Victoria Capitals, 16-1, at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. The Stars got a fine performance from second baseman Loïc Le Carré, who was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs. The Stars have an impressive 34-15 record.
Niagara used the hitting of Calvin Bygrove to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Stars on top, 3-0. For the game, Bygrove had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Nothing to write home about," Victoria manager Chris Riddle said, when asked afterward about the game.
