Falcons Rally to Eke Out Win
|
2064 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Rancho Cucamonga.
The River Falls Falcons picked up a win at Steelers Park, knocking off the Rancho Cucamonga, 3-2, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Jon Betances played a key role in the triumph. Now 58-43, River Falls has won 10 consecutive games.
Betances was in the zone all game. He frustrated Rancho hitters while giving the Falcons 9 innings of quality work. Betances threw 119 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 12 punchouts.
"We had a chance to win," said Rancho manager Tony Vargas, "but we didn't get it done."
