The Victoria Capitals torpedoed the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Blue Wings Ballpark. The final score was 5-2, Victoria. Herb Dower went 2-for-2 for the winning team. Bill Meagher picked up the save, his 2nd. The triumph puts Victoria at 24-23 for the season.

Victoria took a 3-0 lead on Dower's 13th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Mark Johnstone in the top of the sixth, propelled Victoria to the win.

Victoria manager Chris Riddle commended his team for "bagging a nice win."
