The Saskatoon Legends defeated the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 3-2, in CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE action at Ballpark of Red Deer College. Saskatoon pitcher Terrence Muir had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Muir, now 6-1. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Allen Newcomb, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 12th save.

Tristan Wolochow chipped in a 2-run home run for Saskatoon in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Trois-Rivieres manager Gilberto Chávez.
