Blue Jays Pull Off Thrilling 9-7 Win in Extras
The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Bloomington Hoosiers, 9-7, in 11 innings at Hoosiers Stadium. Damian Riddle, in particular, was impressive. He was 4-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win for the Blue Jays lifted their record to 67-34.

Toronto used the clutch hitting of Tom de Jong to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run double in the top of the 11th inning to give the Blue Jays the lead, 9-7. For the game, de Jong had 1 single and 1 double in 6 at-bats.

"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said Toronto manager Torikatzu Nishiyama.
