Monarchs Fall Short, 2-1, at Kelowna
|
Kelowna Heat starter Nelson Foley turned in a sterling performance against the London Monarchs, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. Carter Yeo earned the save, his 11th. Kelowna is now 24-22, while London is 25-21.
Hugh Fenton aided the Kelowna cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 3.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Fenton said.
