Purkis Helps Legends Run Win Streak to 4
The Saskatoon Legends topped the Kelowna Heat, 10-5, with third baseman Aaron Purkis playing a big role. Purkis went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Legends in the win. Bill Bergeron earned the save for Saskatoon, his 2nd of the year. The first-place Legends have won 4 straight.

Sonny Moriarty hit a bases-clearing triple off Max Schanowski in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Legends in front, 5-3. Moriarty had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.

"This was a good win for us," said Purkis. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
