The Capitals had to overcome a fine performance from Trois-Rivieres pitcher Danny Noseworthy to grab a 8-4 win at Blue Wings Ballpark. Noseworthy allowed 2 earned runs over 6 innings. Chris Grange earned the save for Victoria, his 1st of the year. The Capitals, at 26-18, sit in second place in the Lester B. Person League West Division.

Victoria used the timely hitting of Joe Aastrom to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Capitals on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It was terrific getting this win," Aastrom said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
