Yelland Rips 2 Homers in 17-6 Win
The Victoria Capitals dumped the Montreal Royales, 17-6, in large part due to center fielder Howell Yelland. On the day, Yelland hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6 for the Capitals. The Capitals, now 22-21, know that wins in March count the same as wins in September.

The game turned with two out in the top of the fourth. That's when Yelland hit a grand slam home run off Steve Valcourt. It propelled the Capitals into the lead, 6-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Yelland said after the game.
