Royales Come Up Short at Kelowna
|
Dedicated fans at Brantford College Grounds weathered the storm to watch their beloved Heat beat the Royales.
The Kelowna Heat picked up a win at Brantford College Grounds, knocking off the Montreal Royales, 3-2. Starting pitcher John Tobin played a key role in the triumph. The save was credited to Carter Yeo, his 9th.
Also pitching in was Kelowna pinch hitter Curtis Lloyd, who hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, Lloyd was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Lloyd said after the game.
Kelowna is now 20-21. Montreal is 25-16.
