The Niagara Stars defeated the London Monarchs, 16-4, at Drummondville College Grounds. Niagara third baseman Stu Scammell was named player of the game for his superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Niagara has run its win streak to 6 in a row.

Alex Melsom was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for Niagara. The 19-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a bases-clearing double off Bob Taylor. It was his 8th double of the season.
