Kenny Davies never let the Royales get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his sinker, to pitch the Stars to a 2-1 win. Davies picked up the win for Niagara, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-4. Earning his 4th save of the year was John Morris.

Terry Flynn had a nice at-bat for the Stars with two out in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 1st, the center fielder hit a 2-run home run, which would prove important in the Niagara win.

Flynn said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.

The Stars raised their record to 15-22.
