Loss Tarnishes Fine Performance by Savard
The Niagara Stars overcame a good performance by Kelowna second baseman Dan Savard to knock off Kelowna, 9-8, at Brantford College Grounds. Savard was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 6. Niagara raised its record to 24-10 with the win.

Ben Horton, who is tied for 8th in the LBL in triples with 1, helped out the Niagara cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the pinch hitter drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Horton.
