Cruz Excels, But Thunderbirds Win
The Surrey Thunderbirds weathered an outstanding game by Santa Clara shortstop Jesus Cruz to topple the Vampyres, 10-7. Cruz went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. Salvador Reyes, who is tied for 8th in the RLA in saves with 9, earned the save for Surrey. Surrey has now won 8 straight.

Dave Park had a key at-bat with two out in the top of the seventh for Surrey. With the bases loaded and the Thunderbirds leading 6-5, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
