The Niagara Stars downed the Calgary Outlaws, 12-8, at Corvettes Ballpark. The Stars were led by Lyndon Laporte, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Reliever Taylor Barrand picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Bill Krause took the loss. Niagara currently is in third place in the Lester B. Person League East Division at 13-21.
