San Carlos right fielder Kun Er had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Er was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once, even as Ft. Worth beat the Pipers, 6-5. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Rodriguez in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Juan de la Garza took the loss. The victory puts Ft. Worth at 35-60.

Ft. Worth went up, 6-5, on Philippe Parent's 14th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Parent hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Carlos pitcher Juan de la Garza shaking his head.
